Continuing the Photographic Chronicles with a few shots from Week Fifteen.

Springtime

The weather is beautiful, and vegetation is bursting out on every street corner. As every year, I need a little time to adjust to this bright transition that signals the approach of summer — with its intense highlights and harsh shadows.

And, as every year, I bid farewell to the misty, mysterious atmospheres I was still photographing just a few weeks ago. I’ll have to wait until autumn to see them return.

In the meantime, here’s a selection of images captured here and there, as the spring revival unfolds: a few glimpses of the Jardin des Plantes, the banks of the Marne (once again), and fragments gathered during my wanderings through Paris.

By the way, I spotted a magnificent cedar tree near the Jardin des Plantes — it wouldn’t be surprising if I went back with my Rolleiflex or large format camera, because it definitely made an impression on me!
