I sometimes take portraits for artists who want them. Many of my artist friends, in fact, have very few, if any, photos of themselves. They often find themselves in difficulty when it comes to providing a photo for an application file or a communication medium.
So I suggest that I photograph them in the middle of creating in their studio. I also like to capture their work environment, because it reflects, in my opinion, an essential part of their artistic identity.
Enhance your image
This January, Audrey Astorg, an artist who mixes graphics, painting, photography and collage, asked me for a photo shoot. Together, we spent part of the afternoon creating images that she could use for the rest of her career.
I had the opportunity to meet an artist as passionate as she was radiant, with an impressive artistic culture. Among the photos taken during our meeting, the following portrait perfectly sums up everything I have just described.
